Hotel Roncesvalles

Historia

Roncesvalles es… Naturaleza

Orreaga-Roncesvalles guarda memoria de gestas y cantares;
del paso de viejas calzadas y peregrinos agotados en ruta a Compostela;
de reyes que alzaron hospitales, iglesias, claustros y capillas;
de hospitaleros que fueron y son sacramento de acogida;

Hotel Roncesvalles Opiniones

  • Exceptional luxurious stay in this restored medieval monastery. I got a double room and it was so spacious, with skylights and the wifi connection was good and fast, I was able to have two virtual meetings there. The continental breakfast for EUR 6 had delicious breads and fresh orange juice.

  • Booked in for single room. Unfortunately there was no room left so I got a apartment instead for the same price. The room was very comfortable and more important well heated, because I was staying there after a 30km hike in a snowstorm with -10°C. The dinner in the hotel‘s own restaurant was in every way just indescribably excellent. A whole 3-course menu, including a bottle of best spanish Vino and a bottle of water for just 20€.

  • This hotel is simply breathtaking. The building itself is gorgeous and wandering the lobby halls is good fun. My room was modern, elegant and clean. The restaurant and terrace are also lovely. Only issue is that the WiFi is not strong anywhere in the building. I have a feeling it’s due to the thick stone walls. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Roncesvalles. If you are on the Camino and want to treat yourself after that tough hike from St. Jean - this is where to stay. Also great for a romantic weekend getaway.

  • Exceeded my expectations. Spacious room with sitting area and kitchenette. Good hot water. Radiators great for drying all our hiking clothes! Also good quick laundry service. Food was good, although my companion’s fish was not cooked through. Office staff very helpful and gracious.
